Selected print design pieces produced for a variety of personal and professional clients.
Full design workup for Trocadero's "When We're Together" DVD and DVD case packaging. I took Heather Christofaro's initial designs and worked up several iterations and different design treatments. I also generated the final files that were sent to the manufacturer once the design was finalized.
Selected print design pieces produced for Harvard and Harvard Business School clients. Unless otherwise noted, I was responsible for the whole piece from concept to creation, as they say. In fact there's a good chance that I printed, finished, and delivered the job.
Part of a full suite of marketing and information materials for the annual Career Days events at HBS. Produced graphics for wall-mounted displays, email marketing pieces, graphics for CareerHub site, and several printed flyers, brochures and handouts using a similar theme.
Every year Harvard Business School asks students to write an essay answering Mary Oliver's iconic question, and pairs them with artistic portraits taken by Tony Deifel (MBA 2002). Traditionally the photos and essays have been printed and mounted separately, but this year the MBA Program asked me to redesign them to a single integrated piece to accommodate a new, more polished printing process. I also designed a series of logos for the Portrait Project for use in ongoing branding efforts.
Cover layout for a 120+ page book of VCPE-afiliated alumni bios produced for the HBS Career & Professional Development group.
A series of saddle-stitched books and electronically-distributed PDF booklets to market a series of prospective student/HBS alumni networking events.
7' retractable bannerstand for the HBS Student Association offices.
My freelance focus is on the various student conferences held at Harvard and Harvard Business School. Student conferences can draw from 500 to 2,000 attendees from around the world, and a typical design project includes everything from email footers and Facebook graphics to 100-page program books and large format signage.
Given the change-prone nature of the material, the conference book is typically produced in less than a calendar week from start to finish.
This poster makes the portfolio mainly because of the photo manipulation that was required. The model in the source photo was wearing a skirt and the client felt it would be more professional if she were wearing slacks. So I painted the slacks entirely in Photoshop. To my knowledge no one has ever noticed that they're just painted in.
